TCS London Marathon

Nope, not claiming this one as a client(!) but could sure do with any support to keep me motivated through the winter months as I get out there and train! Next April, I will be joining the 55k+ participants at the start line of the TCS London Marathon 2026.

It will be my 20 year anniversary since completing London back in 2006. Due to life, a few medical niggles and confidence, I haven’t dared to think I could repeat the achievement. But as with the thousands taking part, there is a cause behind this decision. The crucially important work of the Teenage Cancer Trust will be benefiting from any funds I can raise. So, please take a look at my fundraising page and donate what you can. Every penny counts! Thanks folks, it means so much.

Teenage Cancer Trust

One Small Step, Holmfirth

So, this little nugget came about following my own experience as a working mum of two who rediscovered running, not for speed or distance, but for peace of mind.  It’s focus isn’t athleticism or competition, One Small Step is about mental wellbeing, shared experiences, and a sense of community. It’s a safe space to move, talk, and find calm. No pressure, no judgment, just fresh air and friendly faces. And no running experience needed!

After an initial six months of turning up three times a week to find no takers, I would simply head out and use that time to find my own little bit of peace. Then, bit by tiny bit, it grew. Today, we have a super inclusive gang of friends who head out in all weathers to chew the cud. The easy drop-in sessions have evolved over the last three years to help couch25kers, complete beginners, encourage regular runners, support those with new challenges and dig a few out of a rut – whether that be a life or a running one.  There’s no formality, all you need is a pair of trainers, to show up and put one foot in front of the other.

I’m super proud of this little group, the camaraderie, the trust, the effort and the support is something I appreciate more and more with every life milestone. One Small Step, where all are welcome.

The Pet Vet

Building marketing foundations for growth

Chapter IV Consultancy was appointed to support The Pet Vet, a much-respected independent veterinary group with multiple surgeries across the UK, at a pivotal stage in its growth.

With limited internal marketing resources, Chapter IV developed a comprehensive strategy and took full responsibility for its execution, producing brochure content, mailer campaigns, and educational materials for pet owners, while managing content across digital and offline platforms.

This hands-on involvement helped establish a consistent and engaging brand presence, driving client engagement and supporting business expansion. As a result of this foundation work, The Pet Vet was able to appoint an in-house marketing manager to continue building on the strategy and support the group’s ongoing growth.

The Face & Body Medispa

Clarity, confidence, and a clear path forward

Sometimes, all a business needs is a sounding board and a little clarity. After just one morning spent exploring the strengths, target audience, and marketing approach of this innovative start-up, it was clear that Kiron, the founder and driving force, had a strong grasp of her vision and direction.

At that time, a new entrant in a competitive market, Kiron understood the importance of smart, strategic marketing. With a solid background in the field, she was quick to identify her points of difference and refine her messaging to better connect with her audience. Together, we expanded the offer, adjusted content and channels, and sharpened the brand’s positioning.

Trust and safety were central to her client experience, and with her exceptional training and natural professionalism, Kiron quickly built a loyal customer base. A refreshed brand identity helped elevate visibility, and soon the business began to attract attention and referrals organically.

With a modest budget but a clear focus, Kiron’s business gained momentum through well-placed, creative communications. Chapter IV simply helped bring clarity and confidence to what was already a strong foundation, and the results speak for themselves.

Provenance Inns & Hotels

Strategic transformation for a boutique hospitality group

Chapter IV Consultancy was engaged to audit Provenance Inns & Hotels’ departmental structure and assess the integration between marketing and operations. The brief included advising on a future-fit structure, supporting recruitment and induction, and developing a strategic marketing plan with interim implementation.

Provenance Inns & Hotels, a collection of award-winning boutique properties across North Yorkshire, had built strong individual reputations. However, siloed operations and fragmented practices were limiting group-wide growth.

With the arrival of a new Operations Director, a shift toward collaboration, shared best practice, and investment in training began to take shape. Chapter IV played a pivotal role in designing a structure that fostered integration and unlocked internal talent across the group.

A clear marketing strategy was developed, new roles were created and filled, and cross-site initiatives gained momentum. The group has since been shortlisted for and won multiple industry awards, with individual team members also receiving recognition.

This transformation, driven by strategic clarity and practical support, has accelerated progress. While Chapter IV’s involvement naturally scaled back as internal capability strengthened, the relationship has been enjoyably collaborative to the end.
